Our wonderful adventure to the Straus-Tresh Organic Farm!
The animals were so kind and generous. We watched a dairy cow being milked, and guess what we did with the milk…
We churned, and churned…
and we churned…and we churned….
and we churned…
and churned
until we had the most delicious fresh butter for our homemade organic bread!
The orchard provided near-the-ground picking of crunchy apples. After we ate our apples and bananas, we put the peals and cores in the compost. Not to long from now the worms and sun will turn them into sweet smelling dirt.
We fed a calf with a great big bottle which took several of us to hold!
we walked and were shown an eagles nest too.
We searched the sky for the eagle.
There were so many new experiences that we will remember the day for a very long time!
Farmer Kathy was the very best host! We thank you so very much for our delightful day on the farm!
